You've helped tremendously in keeping my expectations in perspective. Thanks again. h
: : Blanchard offered $25 to $50. 5 to 10% of the original purchase. I seek your unbiased opinion because I am charged with liquidation, want to make an informed decision, am not a collector and have no idea if they've truly lost that much value or were sold at a 'novelty' price. Thanks for your help. h
: : : : : Where did you get them? Sound like copies
: : : : :
: : : : : : I have several coins in individual display bifolds. Each bifold has an authenticity paper and a short history claiming the coins are from the 1641 Spanish Galleon 'Concepcion'. Any value here or are these merely collectibles?
: : : : Acquired in the mid 80's from James Blanchard. h
: : : Those are the real deal.
: : : So why don't you call Blanchard and see what their buy back is? Otherwise do an eBay search for any current trades.
: I just did a quick search of eBay using your description and there is a 2 real cob with papers with a 'Buy it Now' price of $200. Whether it brings that money is another question.
: I wouldn't offer more than Blanchard did if one was offered to me.
