There are only seven different die varieties for 1834
The small 8 med star is N-2
Small 8 large stare is N-1
Large 8 small stars small letters is N-3,N-4,N-5
Large 8 large stars and Large letters is N-6 and N-7

So those four holes cover all seven 1834 varieties so if you want to fill the fifth hole I would suggest a large 8 small stars, small letter coin because the other three holes only have one coin that can fill it while the fourth hole has three possibilities. That way you can have five of the seven varieties represented. (The N-7 you can pretty much ignore because it is a proof only variety and there are only seven specimens known.)

I'm out of time for today, I'll get back to you tomorrow on the information on the 1839

On and if you look further down in the list of posted messages you'll find a series of threads where I gave information on how to attribute all of the different varieties of 1834.
