I hate being blocked.
: : Hello all,
: : I'm very new to this world of coins. My father was an avid collector and I have inherited a LOT of gold and silver coins. I looked a few up on a site but could not get much information on Mexican gold coins.
: : My question is, I would like to auction or sell some of these, along with about 22 Kuggerand coins. How would I do this? Thanks so much!!
: As far as the Mexican coins go I can't tell if they are just bullion related or not without dates & denominations.
: You might start by checking for coin dealers in your area and see what they pay for gold. (A K-rand should bring about $950)
: An outright sale is the best way to go rather than an auction.
: Be aware if you sell a certain number of K-rands ($10,000 or more) you will have a 1099 filed for you.
