: My name is Jordan and I am trying to identify a coin for a friend. On one side it has a man with a helmet in the center, “Eureka” imprinted at the top and “1849” at the bottom. The other side has “California Gold” imprinted at the top, “ONE” imprinted below that, and what appears to be a bear below the word “ONE”. I have a picture but I can't attach it unless I am sending it from my email. If you think you can help me email me and I will send you the picture.
: Thank you for your time
: Jordan

It is made to resemble California fractional gold. They were/are made to sell to tourists in the California gold rush towns. Most are only gold plated.
The originals do NOT have a bear on them and they state One Dollar.
Worth? Not much.
