: : Am I missing something here? WHAT COINS are we talking about?

: Hi Bill,

: Mary had posted questions in a number of different threads. We were able to piece together that she had ordered a set of Presidential dollars from World Reserve Monetary Exchange and was concerned that she had been scammed out of her payment. It also seemed probable that she interpreted other postings as indicating that the coins themselves were fakes, rather than just that the WRME offer was highly overpriced.

: Forgive me for being blunt, but she apparently has had difficulty understanding both the role of banks in distributing coins and the fact that the Presidential dollars are circulation coins rather than some form of commemorative that has to be purchased on the secondary market. She's also been hampered by not having English as her first language; I offered to try to find translation help but she never responded.

: It's frustrating to see people sucked in by these hype-laden ads. Caveat Emptor, as always.

Jeff,
Thanks for clearing that up. I only drop in nhere from time to time, so I was unaware of the earlier threads. Some of the ads I see fro coins amaze me. There's one ad that runs from time to time in the newspapers advertising the presidential Dollars free Government give away or something to that effect. The ad implies that the coins are being "released from a government vault" and that it's the last chance to get in on the free give-away. I'm not sure what the btrue story is with those ads, but I laugh whenever I see them.

Bill
