dime with no imprint

a friend of mine got some change back at a store in La. recently, and called me to look at it. strange, while both the silver and copper can be seen on the edge, there is no imprint at all. just two blank sides. i know this isn't a common occurance, but i just wanted to know if anyone else has ever run across this and she wants to know if i may have more value than just ten cents?
