You don't have to be an expert on coins to recognize that your question is absurd. You found a normal copper cent (penny) that was 35 years old. Why would someone think it was of any value? Your question implies that you expected it to be aluminum, yet you knew that copper is the normal color. This is why I thought (and still think) you were joking. If you are truly serious, perhaps you can rephrase the question.
