If I interpret your description correctly, you're saying that the unprinted border around the bill's edge is not symmetric but the entire image of the bill is still visible. If that's correct I'm afraid the bill isn't really worth any premium. Alignment standards for U.S. bills can be pretty sloppy compared to say, euro notes.

If however the miscut is far enough off that part of the neighboring bill is visible, that _is_ considered collectible. The premium would depend in part on the bill's condition and how much of the adjoining bill is visible.

: My dad gave me a $5.00 bill, dated 1950D. On the right side of the bill,there is an unprinted area approx. 1/16th of an inch. On the left side ofthe bill, there is an unprinted area approx. 1/3 of an inch.
