: i have a 2001 vermont quarter that has no silver on its back.i recieved this coin as change from a convenience store.i immediatly had it put in a coin sleeve and put it away.i am looking to sell now and am curious of its value before i pursue this.can anyone help me out there?

Before you realy pursue it really need to find out for sure what it is. Most of the time when someone has something they think is a missing clad layer it often turns out to simply be discolored. The first thing that need to be determined is what does it weigh? A quarter with a missing clad layer will be noticeably underweight. So what does it weigh?
