But IMO we're already dipping into "irrational exuberance". Remember when gold was $800 an ounce and was supposed to go up forever? - - - - I'm talking about the mid-1970s, not last year! It crashed into the three-hundreds and stayed for ages. Anyone who bought at even $500/oz back then is still waiting for a COLA-adjusted spot price of $2K.
