Hey Slim - great comment!

Of course having a daughter who lived in Germany, I caught myself right after posting. Just maybe, mit einer Name wie Otto, Englisch ist nicht seine Muttersprache ... One letter can do it. My then-82 yr. old mother got more than a few odd looks when she tried to rely on high school French during a Paris visit. She was attempting to give a date as Tuesday - "mardi" - but slipped in an 'e' sound where the 'a' is. The result's kinda impolite...

Whatever. Merry Christmas & Happy 2010!

: Maybe Otto left the coin out in the snowstorm?

: : Well, if it's a "cold" coin you should bring it inside, give it some hot chocolate, and warm it up! ;=)

: : But seriously, folks, I'm guessing that you mean GOLD. However without a more complete description than "really pretty" it's not possible to ID it. Please add a response with some more details - for ex., what pictures are on it? What's its denomination? Does it have a country name on it?

: : One possibility for a quarter-sized coin is that it has either a Native American woman and baby on the front and a soaring eagle on the back, or the portrait of a US president on the front and the Statue of Liberty on the back. If you have either of those, your coin is (a) brass, not gold, and (b) a common $1 coin that's neither rare nor valuable.

: : If it's anything else, some more digging will be needed to ID it.

: : : i have a cold coin it is really pretty 2007 size of quarter-value?
