The problem is there is little to nothing you can prosecute them for. All of the costs (Except that of shipping the safe to you), exactly what you are getting and the costs of canceling are all included in the ad. One thing the company counts on is that you won't read the ad thoughly and will just take it on its face value, plus the thought like your father had that it must be on the up and up because it was published in a magazine he respected. The problem is a magazine survives by selling ads. They seldom have the time nor inclination to check their validity or whether they are offering a good or even a fair deal. They typically get the ad in photo-ready and probably don't even read them. The advertiser is also depending on the buyers greed, that he is getting a too good to be true deal or something for nothing. I'm sure your father probably told you all your life that you don't get something for nothing, but when he thought he had the chance to do that he fell for it. It's human nature and that is what the World Monetary Reserve is counting on. They didn't con him, he conned himself. Sorry
