I couldn't find too much information on it, but it's a medal and not a coin. It was struck in honor of the de Wit (or de Witt) cousins who were extremely influential Dutch religious and political leaders during the 17th century. They were assassinated in 1672 during a period of unrest.

The names on the medal are in old Latin script; in modern usage they'd be Johan(n) and Cornelis (or Cornelius).
